Founded in 2002, Appomattox River Peanut & Wine Company is a family-owned business and the only peanut processor in the Hopewell area. For over a decade, we’ve offered more than 30 unique gourmet peanut flavors, along with fine wines and Virginia-made goods that celebrate our region’s flavor.

Where It All Started

With roots in Virginia’s peanut country, owner Randy Sealey brought his experience and knowledge of the industry to Hopewell to build something of his own. Starting with a small cooker and a clear goal—to produce a better peanut—he developed a roasting method that delivers the bold, natural flavor Virginia peanuts are known for.
